I have a confession to make. I am addicted to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I play every night. That game is my life.
So you can imagine how I felt when the game came out and I didn't have enough money to buy it (after recently spending all my money on a Wii). It was horrible. So I decided that if I couldn't buy the real Brawl, I'd have to make my own! So I loaded up Freebasic and started working. Many weeks later, I have a game. A bad graphics, bad physics, and low quality game, but a game none the less. There are 7 different characters, and 6 stages. There's some pretty good AI, and also a single player training mode. I think it's pretty sweet.
So I made a development blog of sorts.
Blog:
[link]There's only a few posts, but it goes over parts of the game in great detail (if I do say so myself). There's info on two characters, an overview of the game, the basic controls, and a brief description of the different modes. Wonderful.
Course, I now own Brawl, so Smiley Fighter (as I have dubbed it) is now dying. I may pick it up again some day, but for now, what's the point? I can just go downstairs, turn on my Wii, and play a better game whenever I want to.
